Mapletree has identified three material matters – (i) economic performance, (ii) quality, sustainable products and services, as well as (iii) strong partnerships – to drive its economic success.
Economic Performance
Mapletree continues to embrace green finance as the business demand grows for investment products tailored towards ESG factors. Since FY17/18, Mapletree has secured approximately S$4.82 billion of green financing, some of which have been used to support environmentally and socially sustainable projects. The Group further contributed to enhancing the environmental and social challenges through a S$15.1 million investment into companies that are focused on improving areas such as climate and water solutions, financial and digital inclusion, sustainable food, and agriculture.
Quality, Sustainable Products and Services
Mapletree incorporates innovative technologies, sustainable products and practices to improve the energy and resource efficiency of our buildings, and in turn, reduce the negative impact on the environment.
Over the years, the Group has obtained numerous Green Mark Awards by BCA, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) by U.S. Green Building Council certifications, as well as Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) by the Building Research Establishment. The Group has also achieved various environmental rating certifications such as National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) and Energy Star Certifications.
