MIT’s largest redevelopment of Flatted Factories into a new high-tech industrial park was successfully completed in March 2023, which increased the utilised plot ratio from 1.5 to 2.5. With an enlarged gross floor area of 865,687 square feet, Mapletree Hi-Tech Park @ Kallang Way (161, 163 & 165 Kallang Way) comprises two nine-storey buildings and a seven-storey build-to-suit building. The development is zoned for Business 2 use.
161 and 163 Kallang Way are developed as two Hi-Tech blocks, which are suitable for high value-add and knowledge-based businesses such as advanced manufacturing, biomedical science and information and communications technology sectors. Both buildings have also been awarded the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award.
